At this point you might be all fired up thinking you have a great idea, but the demons of doubt are whispering in your ear telling you how it won´t work.  It is easy to be critical of others and to criticize yourself from not doing something to change your circumstances, but negative thinking and critical outside influences can be powerful imaginary obstacles.  What is important is that you move forward anyway because once you start the journey, opportunities will turn up when you least expect them.

These are the voices in your head that keep you where you are instead of doing something you love or something that would bring you financial freedom.  These demons include doubt, fear, negativity, and insecurity.  The most dangerous thing about them is we don´t realise how many times a day they are chattering away in our brains.

External demons

The external demons are the ones that fuel the fire of your internal demons.  They even include well-meaning friends and family who urge you to be cautious or point out just how difficult it would be to start your own business, how risky it is, how few people succeed etc.  Then there is the media, bombarding us each day with news stories of murder, war, financial disaster, and very little to be optimistic about.

The answer to overcoming your demons is to limit your exposure to negativity; it will crush your creativity and prevent you from exploring your potential.  Be selective who you take advice from, and only listen to it if presented as a well-balanced argument, rather than from an emotional response to what they consider to be a risky venture.
